"The Greater Common" by Sue and Peter Richards
This project is part of a commission of Sue and Peter Richards at the Peninsula Community College in Port Angeles, WA. It consists of five scaled down mountains of the Olympic range made of aluminum fit on top of basalt columns within pools of water.
Although it is not my conception, I have been fortunate enough to be involved with many of the steps of the process during the realization of these beautiful objects. Along with working on parts of the early stages of research and development, I was the lead mold maker, as well as responsible for organizing and executing the foundry work. It was installed in 2009.
